Ms. Mildred Mutesa

Board Member

Mildred Mutesa joined the World Vision Zambia Limited Board in 2024 and currently serves on the Finance Committee.

Mildred Mutesa is a distinguished finance professional with over 16 years of experience spanning audit, manufacturing, and financial services. She currently serves as the Managing Director of the Zambia National Building Society, where she leads strategic planning, governance, risk management, and corporate finance initiatives. Her expertise also extends to asset and liability management—an essential pillar of financial institution sustainability.

Mildred is a Fellow of both the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants (ZICA). She holds a Master of Business Administration with distinction from Heriot-Watt University, a Bachelor of Accountancy from the Copperbelt University, and a professional ACCA qualification.

Her career includes leadership roles such as Director of Finance and Company Secretary at Afrox Zambia Limited, Senior Auditor at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), and Director of Finance at Zambia National Building Society. She brings a wealth of experience in financial oversight, regulatory compliance, and corporate governance.

Mildred is an elected Board Member of the African Union for Housing Finance (AUHF), where she also chairs the Lobbying and Advocacy Committee. Additionally, she serves on the Finance and Administration Committee of the Institute of Directors, contributing to the advancement of ethical leadership and financial stewardship across the region.
